IFL PLAYERS OF THE WEEK: WEEK 15
The Indoor Football League is proud to announce the Players of the Week for Week 15 of the 2026 season. Paxton DeLaurent (ORL) is named Offensive Player of the Week, Davontae Merriweather (AZ) is named Defensive Player of the Week, and Ben Woodard (TUC) is named Special Teams Player of the Week.
Week 15 featured clutch performances in all three phases of the game, from a quarterback who accounted for four touchdowns, to a defensive back who came away with multiple takeaways, to a kicker whose leg proved to be the difference in a critical victory. For their efforts, Orlando's Paxton DeLaurent, Arizona's Davontae Merriweather, and Tucson's Ben Woodard have earned IFL Player of the Week honors.
OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK: PAXTON DELAURENT, QB, ORLANDO PIRATES
Paxton DeLaurent once again proved why he is one of the league's most dangerous dual-threat quarterbacks, leading the Pirates to a pivotal Week 15 victory.
The Orlando signal-caller completed 16 of 23 passes for 127 yards and two touchdowns while adding 67 rushing yards and two more scores on the ground. DeLaurent accounted for four total touchdowns and consistently delivered in key moments as the Pirates continued their push toward the postseason.
DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK: DAVONTAE MERRIWEATHER, DB, ARIZONA RATTLERS
Davontae Merriweather delivered one of the top defensive performances of Week 15, making his presence felt throughout the game.
The Arizona defensive back recorded four tackles, one tackle for loss, two interceptions, and a pass breakup. Merriweather's pair of takeaways consistently put the Rattlers in favorable situations and showcased his ability to change a game with timely plays in the secondary.
SPECIAL TEAMS PLAYER OF THE WEEK: BEN WOODARD, K, TUCSON SUGAR SKULLS
Ben Woodard delivered a flawless performance on special teams, accounting for 11 points in Tucson's Week 15 victory.
The Sugar Skulls kicker connected on both of his field-goal attempts, converted all three extra points, and added a deuce. Woodard's reliability and consistency provided a steady source of points and played a key role in Tucson's success.
The 2026 IFL season continues Saturday night as Week 16 gets underway across the Indoor Football League.
