Glossary of Terms

Alley - is the area bordered by the outside shoulders of the two offensive guards. The alley is established at the snap and does not move during the down.	Sideline Walls - Similar in concept to that of a hockey rink the barriers encircle the field. The barriers are made up of 3-5" High Density foam padding.
Belt - is the area five yards beyond the defensive line of scrimmage. The belt runs sideline to sideline. The Belt disappeared at the snap.	Reserve Lists - The reserve list of each team consists on the following categories; retired, refused to report, left squad, injured reserve, Short term injured reserve, team suspended, player exemption, Physically Unable to Perform (PUP) and Transfer.
Blitzer - the player who identifies himself to the offensive teams and the officials as a potential Blitzer by virtue of his alignment and raising his hand (if two LBs are present in the box). He must be located in the alley, behind the defensive box at the snap.	lnjured Reserve - Any players placed on Season Ending Injured will be ineligible to play in any of the remaining games that season. Players placed on the Short Term Injured Reserve list must stay on the list for a minimum of three (3) weeks and no more than a maximum of six (6) weeks.
In the Bank - means a penalty which cannot be administered on the kick-off, but will be enforced prior to the next succeeding scrimmage play. The Half, may not end with a penalty in the bank. In such cases, there will be an un-timed down.	Roster Limits - Each team may maintain a maximum of a 21-player roster and a 4 player practice squad; totaling 25 players.
Drop Kick - a dropkick is legal by a player who drops the ball toward the ground and kicks the ball simultaneously with it hitting the ground. A dropkick field goal is worth four (4) points and a dropkick PAT is worth two (2) points.
Offensive Motion - Unlike stadium played football, two offensive players may go into forward motion prior to the snap of the ball.
Punt - A punt is illegal in the indoor game.
Rouge - A team is awarded one (1) point for a rouge if any of the following conditions are met. 1) A rouge may only be scored on free kicks and is scored when a member of Team B (Receiving team) is not able to advance a free kick out of his own endzone, or the player is declared down in the endzone. 2) A Rouge will be awarded to the kicking team if the receiving team commits a penalty in the receiving team's endzone and the ball has not been advanced out of the end zone.
Deuce - If a free kick (kickoff) passes through the uprights, a two (2) point “Deuce” is scored.
