IFL PLAYERS OF THE WEEK: WEEK 14
The Indoor Football League is proud to announce the Players of the Week for Week 14 of the 2026 season. Zach Calzada (SA) is named Offensive Player of the Week, Herman Smith (SD) is named Defensive Player of the Week, and Aaron Jackson (TUC) is named Special Teams Player of the Week.
Week 14 featured dominant quarterback play, game-changing defensive takeaways, and an electrifying special teams performance as teams continue to jockey for position entering the final weeks of the regular season. Leading the way were San Antonio quarterback Zach Calzada, San Diego defensive back Herman Smith, and Tucson return specialist Aaron Jackson, who have been named the IFL Players of the Week.
OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK: ZACH CALZADA, QB, SAN ANTONIO GUNSLINGERS
Zach Calzada delivered one of the most efficient performances of the season in Week 14, accounting for eight total touchdowns to lead the Gunslingers to a pivotal victory.
The San Antonio quarterback completed 12 of 17 passes for 186 yards and five touchdowns while adding 36 rushing yards and three more scores on the ground. Calzada's ability to make plays through the air and with his legs kept the Gunslingers offense rolling throughout the contest as San Antonio strengthened its position in the Western Conference.
DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK: HERMAN SMITH, DB, SAN DIEGO STRIKE FORCE
Herman Smith turned in a game-changing defensive performance for the Strike Force, helping fuel a key Week 14 victory.
The veteran defensive back recorded three tackles, intercepted two passes, and added a pass breakup. Smith's pair of takeaways helped swing momentum in San Diego's favor and highlighted a defensive effort that consistently came up with timely plays throughout the game.
SPECIAL TEAMS PLAYER OF THE WEEK: AARON JACKSON, KR, TUCSON SUGAR SKULLS
Aaron Jackson provided an instant spark for the Sugar Skulls on special teams in Week 14.
The dynamic return specialist totaled 105 yards on four kick returns, including a touchdown that helped energize Tucson's offense. Jackson's ability to change field position and find the end zone made him one of the most impactful special teams performers of the weekend.
The 2026 IFL season continues Friday night as Week 15 gets underway across the league.
