IFL PLAYERS OF THE WEEK: WEEK 13
Week 13 featured record-setting offensive performances, game-changing defensive plays, and a special teams showcase that helped shape another exciting weekend across the Indoor Football League. Leading the way were Northern Arizona quarterback Anthony Garrett, Orlando defensive back Leon O'Neal, and Northern Arizona kicker Nestor Manuel Higuera, who have been named the IFL Players of the Week for their outstanding performances.
The Indoor Football League is proud to announce the Players of the Week for Week 13 of the 2026 season. Northern Arizona quarterback Anthony Garrett has been named Offensive Player of the Week, Orlando defensive back Leon O'Neal earns Defensive Player of the Week honors, and Northern Arizona kicker Nestor Manuel Higuera has been selected as Special Teams Player of the Week.
OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK: ANTHONY GARRETT, QB, NORTHERN ARIZONA WRANGLERS
Anthony Garrett turned in one of the most remarkable individual performances of the 2026 season in Week 13. The dual-threat quarterback completed 16 of 27 passes for 171 yards and six touchdowns while adding 91 rushing yards and two more scores on the ground.
Garrett accounted for eight total touchdowns, showcasing his ability to take over a game as both a passer and runner. Despite the Wranglers coming up short, Garrett's performance was one of the league's most productive offensive outings this season and earns him Offensive Player of the Week honors.
DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK: LEON O'NEAL, DB, ORLANDO PIRATES
Leon O'Neal anchored Orlando's defense with a dominant all-around performance in Week 13. The veteran defensive back recorded 11 tackles, forced a fumble, and intercepted a pass while helping the Pirates secure a crucial victory.
O'Neal's impact was felt throughout the game, consistently disrupting opposing drives and creating turnovers at critical moments. His leadership and playmaking ability continue to be a major factor for one of the league's top defensive units.
SPECIAL TEAMS PLAYER OF THE WEEK: NESTOR MANUEL HIGUERA, K, NORTHERN ARIZONA WRANGLERS
Nestor Manuel Higuera delivered a standout performance on special teams, accounting for 14 points in Week 13. The Northern Arizona kicker converted six of seven extra-point attempts while adding four deuces.
Higuera's ability to generate points and create difficult field-position situations made him one of the league's most impactful special teams players of the week. Despite the Wranglers falling short, his performance was instrumental in keeping Northern Arizona competitive throughout the contest.
The 2026 IFL season continues Friday night as Week 14 gets underway across the league.
