INDOOR FOOTBALL LEAGUE VIEWERSHIP SURGES TO RECORD 454,134 VIEWERS ON YAHOO SPORTS NETWORK
Marquee Yahoo Sports Network broadcast featuring Jason Fitz, Nate Tice and Caroline Fenton delivers largest audience in league history
The Indoor Football League (IFL) continues to experience unprecedented audience growth, with a record-setting 454,134 viewers tuning in to Yahoo Sports Network for the May 16 matchup between the Jacksonville Sharks and Fishers Freight.
The audience more than doubled the league's previous Yahoo Sports Network record of 220,261 viewers, established earlier this season, and marked the latest in a series of record-setting audience performances throughout the 2026 campaign.
The record-setting audience was generated during Yahoo Sports Network's marquee IFL broadcast presentation featuring play-by-play announcer Jason Fitz, analyst Nate Tice and sideline reporter Caroline Fenton. The nationally recognized trio headlined coverage of the Jacksonville Sharks-Fishers Freight matchup, delivering what became the most-watched IFL broadcast in Yahoo Sports Network history.
"This growth demonstrates the momentum behind the Indoor Football League and the appetite fans have for our brand of football," said IFL Commissioner Todd Tryon. "The fact that we've not only broken our previous audience record, but have now surpassed it three additional times, speaks to the quality of competition across our league and the continued expansion of our national reach."
"These unprecedented numbers are exactly what we envisioned when we partnered with Yahoo Sports," said Jared Widman, President of the IFL Business Division. "Their worldwide platform, combined with our industry-leading broadcast talent, product and presentation, continues to propel the sport to never-before-seen heights. The world is taking notice of what the IFL is building, and this is only the beginning."

The continued rise in viewership comes as the IFL enters the second half of its 2026 season, with playoff races intensifying across both conferences and fan interest reaching new heights.
