IFL PLAYERS OF THE WEEK: WEEK 9
As the second half of the 2026 Indoor Football League season heats up, Week 9 featured standout performances across the league with playmakers delivering in all three phases of the game.
The Indoor Football League is proud to announce the Players of the Week for Week 9 of the 2026 IFL season. Nyqwan Murray (ORL) is named Offensive Player of the Week, Michael Moore (JAX) is named Defensive Player of the Week, and Matthew Cook (AZ) is named Special Teams Player of the Week.
Offensive Player of the Week – Nyqwan Murray, WR, Orlando Pirates
Murray delivered a massive performance for the Orlando Pirates in Week 9, totaling nine receptions for 133 yards and three touchdowns. The dynamic wide receiver consistently created explosive plays throughout the game and proved nearly impossible to contain near the goal line, helping power Orlando's offense in a statement victory.
Defensive Player of the Week – Michael Moore, LB, Jacksonville Sharks
Moore anchored the Jacksonville Sharks defense with a dominant all-around performance, recording 13 tackles, three tackles for loss, and one pass breakup. The linebacker was constantly around the football and helped disrupt opposing drives from start to finish with his physical presence and relentless effort.
Special Teams Player of the Week – Matthew Cook, K, Arizona Rattlers
Cook made a major impact in the kicking game for the Arizona Rattlers in Week 9, converting all eight of his point-after attempts while adding four deuces for a 16-point performance. His ability to consistently put points on the board and create momentum swings on kickoffs played a key role in Arizona's victory.
The 2026 IFL season continues Friday, kicking off Week 10.
