The Green Bay Blizzard are excited to announce the signing of IFL Hall of Famer B.J. Hill.
B.J. Hill (5'9, 185) will return to Green Bay for the 2019 season after being named IFL's 2018 Special Teams Player of the Year. After a four year hiatus from football, Hill returned in 2018 to set the IFL on fire. Hill led the league in kick return yards (1,217), kick return touchdowns (4), and all purpose yards (1,837). Hill also appeared at running back in seven games last season, rushing for four touchdowns and averaging 4.4 yards per carry.
Hill, part of the 2015 IFL Hall of Fame class and the only number retired by the Green Bay Blizzard, will look to add to his all time totals in 2019. Hill is the IFL's All Time leader in kick return yards (4,602), kick return touchdowns (17), and ranks third for all time in all purpose yards (6,598).
"I know people will wonder why I came back for another season, my response to that is why not," said Hill. "There will be a time when I can't play the game, so if I can compete at a high level and help the Blizzard in our pursuit of a championship, I will!"
"For B.J. to come back during the 2018 season and win IFL Special Teams Player of Year after four years away from the game speaks not only to his skill but his work ethic," added Green Bay Head Coach Corey Roberson. "B.J. brings leadership, passion, and a will to win."
