DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Antwan Smith (DB, Bismarck Bucks)
The Bismarck Bucks fell to the Iowa Barnstormers 55-16, in Week 8. Bismarck DB Antwan Smith however made not only a difference on the defense but on the scoreboard. At the end of the third quarter, Smith scooped up a botched snap and returned it for a touchdown. The defensive score was the Bucks first touchdown of the game and Bismarck did not find the end zone again until late in the fourth quarter. In addition to leading the team in tackles with seven, Smith intercepted Barnstormers QB Daquan Neal near the end zone and returned it 22 yards. It was only Neal's second interception of the season. The Bismarck Bucks travel to face the Cedar Rapids River Kings in Week 9.
