The Indoor Football League (IFL) is proud to announce the Vidswap.com Players of the Week for Week 14 of the 2018 IFL season.
OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Drew Powell (QB, Iowa Barnstormers)
The Iowa Barnstormers (9-2) continue to prove themselves as legitimate contenders in the IFL as the team dismantled the Green Bay Blizzard 41-14 in Week 14. After winning IFL Offensive Player of the Week last week, MVP candidate Drew Powell (6'3, Livingstone College) put together another dominant offensive performance. Powell completed 14 of 24 passes for 154 yards and three touchdowns in Iowa's victory. The dual-threat QB also broke 100 yards rushing as he totaled 107 rushing yards and three touchdowns on 20 attempts. After rushing for over 200 yards in the last two weeks, Powell now leads the IFL in rushing yards with 699 and is second in rushing touchdowns with 18. Week 15 features a face off between the top two teams in the IFL as the Barnstormers host the Arizona Rattlers (10–2).

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Robert Metz (LB, Green Bay Blizzard)
The Green Bay Blizzard fell 41-14 to the Iowa Barnstormers and now fall to a disappointing 2-9 on the season. A bright point on the defense, however, has been the play of LB Robert Metz. Metz (6'4, Dixie State University) flew around the field all night long against the Barnstormers, accounting for 12 total tackles and a tackle for loss. The Blizzard linebacker acted as a roadblock to Iowa's rushing attack throughout the game as he held the Barnstormers to four or less yards on eight of his tackles. Accustomed to stopping an opposing team's offense, Metz is currently tied for second in the IFL in sacks with 4.5. The Green Bay Blizzard host the Sioux Falls Storm in Week 15.

SPECIAL TEAMS PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Brad Hatfield (K, Nebraska Danger)
The Nebraska Danger narrowly fell to the Arizona Rattlers 45-40 in Week 14. In a close game, Danger K Brad Hatfield came up with several big field goals and consistently converted extra points to help keep the Danger in the game. Late in the first quarter, Hatfield (5'11, Univ. of Sioux Falls) converted a 47 yard field goal and followed it up with a 43 yard field goal later in the first half. Hatfield finished the game converting two field goals and all four of his extra point attempts.In total, Hatfield contributed 10 total points to the Danger's score. Throughout the season Hatfield has converted 13 field goals, second most in the IFL. The Nebraska Danger travel to face the Cedar Rapids Titans in Week 15.
