SIOUX FALLS, SD - The Sioux Falls Storm (4-2) hosts the Cedar Rapids Titans (1-5) on Saturday, April 21st at 7:05pm in a week nine battle. A&B Business Solutions will serve as the Presenting Sponsor of the game and help give away 400 free hats during this weeks game. There will be numerous events and special promotions going on throughout the night that includes a special fundraiser to benefit Rebekah's Legacy Foundation, which supports families in need and charitable organizations that enrich the lives of children.
The Sioux Falls Storm look to snap a one-game losing streak against the Titans this week. The Storm lost against the Arizona Rattlers 40-48 on April 16th. In that game, Quarterback Lorenzo Brown completed seven of his 18 attempts for 122 yards with one touchdown and two interceptions, while rushing 11 times for 41 yards and two touchdowns. Running back Lyle McCombs had six carries for 69 yards and one touchdown and had two receptions for 22 yards. McCombs was named IFL Special Teams Player of the Week.Wide receiver Mike Tatum caught four passes for a game-high 92 yards and one touchdown, he also rushed four times for 26 yards and one touchdown. Kicker Miles Bergner went a perfect two for two on field goals and hit four out of five extra points. Defensive lineman Chris Martin tallied nine total tackles which led the defense and defensive back Jabari Gorman grabbed one interception.
The Cedar Rapids Titans look to snap a four-game losing streak. Due to inclement weather the Titans have yet to play their week eight match-up against the Green Bay Blizzard. The Titans last played on April 31st against the Arizona Rattlers where they lost 54-19. In that game, quarterback Jake Medlock threw for 136 yards and one touchdown and one interception while completing 18 of 38 attempts, he also had 28 rushing yards and one touchdown. Running backs Tyler Thomas rushed nine times for 37 yards and Raphael Lawson-Gayle had eight rushing yards and one touchdown. Wide receiver Connor Hollenbeck reeled in five catches for 44 yards and one touchdown. On the defensive side of the ball, the Titans had 28 tackles, one sack, three forced fumbles, three fumble recoveries and one pass break-up.
