The Indoor Football League (IFL) is proud to announce the Vidswap.com Players of the Week for Week 6 of the 2017 IFL season.
OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Jeff Ziemba (QB, Arizona Rattlers)
The Arizona Rattlers improved to 4-1 on the season after taking down the Cedar Rapids Titans 54-19. After struggling early in the season, Rattlers QB Jeff Ziemba had a breakthrough against the Titans. On an night where the Cedar Rapids Titans dedicated themselves to stopping the IFL's top ranked rushing attack, Ziemba (6'2, Shepard University) proved it was all for naught. Not only did Ziemba complete passes to six different receivers but he also threw for an IFL season-high seven touchdown passes. He completed his night throwing for 172 and completed an efficient 16 of 22 passes. Ziemba and the Rattlers have a bye week in Week 7 before traveling to face the Sioux Falls Storm on April 14.

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Myke Tavarres (LB, Nebraska Danger)
In a matchup of two of the top teams in the IFL, the Nebraska Danger overcame the Iowa Barnstormers 43-32 in Week 6. IFL leading tackler Nebraska LB Myke Tavarres was a defensive force throughout the game for the Danger. Early in the second quarter, Tavarres (6'2, Univ. of Incarnate Word) broke through the Barnstormers' offense and sacked QB Drew Powell forcing a fumble in the process. Tavarres came up with the fumble and Nebraska put points on the board three plays later by adding a field goal. The play proved to be a turning point as the danger never trailed for the rest of the game. Tavarres finished the game with seven total tackles. This is Tavarres' second Defensive Player of the Week award this season (Week 1).The Nebraska Danger host the Sioux Falls Storm in Week 7.

SPECIAL TEAMS PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Brad Hatfield (K, Nebraska Danger)
The Nebraska Danger topped the Iowa Barnstormers 43-32 in Week 6 in part to Danger Kicker Brad Hatfield's superb play. In a defensive battle, Hatfield's kickoffs consistently pinned the Barnstormers deep in their own territory as he had three touchbacks on the game. In addition, Hatfield (5'11, Univ. of Sioux Falls) converted a perfect three of three field goals and added two extra points. He ended the game with 11 total points, which was the total difference between the Danger's 43 points and the Barnstormers' 32. Hatfield now leads all IFL kickers in scoring on the season with 43. The Nebraska Danger host the Sioux Falls Storm in Week 7.
