Week 4 Players of the Week Announced

The Indoor Football League (IFL) is proud to announce the Vidswap.com Players of the Week for Week 4 of the 2018 IFL season.

OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Lorenzo Brown (QB, Sioux Falls Storm)

In a rematch of last year's United Conference Championship, the Sioux Falls Storm took down the Iowa Barnstormers 52-40 in Week 4. After a slow first quarter, Storm QB Lorenzo Brown guided the IFL's number one offense to a score on every possession from the second quarter onward. Brown (6'0, Univ. of Sioux Falls) completed 22 of 26 passes for 241 yards, the second most in the IFL this season. With 38 seconds remaining in the game and the Storm holding just a five point lead, Brown connected on his biggest pass of the night as he found WR Brandynn Clark for the game-sealing  14 yard touchdown. The touchdown to Clark was Brown's fourth of the night. He also added a rushing touchdowns in the second quarter. Brown and the Storm travel to face the Green Bay Blizzard in Week 5.

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Allen Chapman (DB, Arizona Rattlers)

In a battle of defenses, the Arizona Rattlers held on to defeat the Green Bay Blizzard 37-31 in Week 4.  In a close game, Rattlers DB Allen Chapman (5'11, Kansas State Univ.) was the bane of the Blizzard's hopes all night long. Late in the game and down by six points, Green Bay QB Christian Lemay looked to the end zone for the potential game-winning touchdown but Chapman intercepted the pass, ending Green Bay's hopes for the upset. Chapman also ended a Green Bay scoring drive earlier in the game as he intercepted as pass at his own four yard line and returned it 22 yards. Chapman finished the night with two interceptions and now has 10 for his IFL career. Chapman and the Rattlers host the undefeated Nebraska Danger in Week 5.

SPECIAL TEAMS PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Eric Thomas (KR, Nebraska Danger)

The Nebraska Danger remained undefeated as the team escaped from Cedar Rapids with a 50-41 victory in Week 4. After scoring a late touchdown to pull within two points, the Titans attempted an onside kick in order to re-secure possession. On his only kick return of the night, Danger WR/KR Eric Thomas returned the onside kick 15 yards for a touchdown  to secure the Danger's victory. Thomas (6'1, Troy University) also finished the game with four receptions for 40 yards and a touchdown.  Thomas and the Danger will look to remain unbeaten in Week 5 as the they face the Arizona Rattlers.
