In honor of the IFL's 10th Anniversary season, the IFL is counting down the top ten IFL players of all-time. Coming in at #8 is two-time IFL MVP QB Jameel Sewell.
After joining the IFL as a member of the Green Bay Blizzard as a backup QB in 2011, Sewell worked his way up to becoming a full-time starter for the Nebraska Danger and eventually a two-time IFL MVP (2013,2015). Under Sewell's steady leadership the Danger advanced to three consecutive United Bowl Championships (2013-15) and won three Intense Conference championships. Efficient at passing and a strong dual threat running the ball, Sewell was also named IFL Offensive Player of the Year in 2013 and twice named as First-Team All-IFL QB.
Over a six season IFL career, Sewell threw for 7,598 yards and 151 touchdowns. He ranks third in IFL history in rushing touchdowns (88) and fifth in rushing yards (2,157). His 27 career interceptions are the fewest of any IFL QB who has thrown over 1,000 passes.
The countdown will culminate with the announcement of the top IFL player of all-time on February 23, the start of the 2018 IFL season.
