DES MOINES – The Iowa Barnstormers have re-signed wide receiver Ryan Balentine to the 2018 roster, Head Coach Dixie Wooten announced today.

Balentine (6-1, 180, University of Southern Mississippi) joins the Iowa Barnstormers for his second season with the team and his sixth season in the Indoor Football League (IFL). A veteran receiver, Balentine has made his mark on the league previously appearing on the Cedar Rapids Titans, Green Bay Blizzard, and now-defunct Bemidji Axemen rosters. Balentine joined the Barnstormers in 2017, appearing in all 16 regular season games and contributing to the team's playoff run. Balentine finished the regular season collecting 19 total touchdowns, 14 receiving and five rushing. Balentine finshed the season ranking third in all-purpose yards with 1,431 yards.

"Ryan brings an explosive weapon to our offense." said Coach Wooten. "He makes all the catches and his yards after each catch are unreal. After going 13-3 last season, I feel like his hunger for the game will be even higher."
