The Green Bay Blizzard are proud to announce the re-signing of IFL Hall of Fame DB/WR B.J Hill for the 2018 season.
A member of the 2015 IFL Hall of Fame class and two-time IFL Special Teams Player of the Year, Hill returns to the Blizzard after a four season absence.
One of the most versatile athletes in IFL history, Hill was named to five All-IFL teams during his previous four-year IFL career with Green Bay (2010-2013). During the 2012 season, he was the first players in IFL history to earn two spots on the All-League team in the same year (DB and KR). Hill finished his first stint with the Blizzard holding three different IFL return records; career return yards (3,412), kick return TD's (13) and season kick return average (23.2). A dual threat at DB, Hill also holds team records with 253 career tackles and 20 interceptions. Hill was named IFL Special Teams Player of the Year in 2011 and 2013.
Hill's #3 jersey was retired by the Blizzard in 2014.
"I think this is the right time, sometimes you get that itch as a football player and it never went away," said Hill. "I'm excited to be a leader in the locker room and be a leader for the guys and help them possibly get to the next level. I'm hoping this will be my best season ever. I want to come in shape and sharp and just be dominant. I want this to be the ultimate swan song".
"We are very excited to have B.J. back," said Blizzard Head Coach Chris Williams. "Anytime your jersey is the only jersey retired in a franchises history; it clearly means you were great. B.J. is certainly one of if not the best to ever play in a Blizzard uniform. He has kept himself in great shape and the leadership he will bring to that locker room will be an awesome addition."
