DES MOINES – The Iowa Barnstormers have re-signed defensive back Bryce Enyard to the 2018 roster, Head Coach Dixie Wooten announced today.
Enyard (6-0, 195, Northwest Missouri State) returns to the Iowa Barnstormers for his second season in the Indoor Football League (IFL). Enyard joined the Barnstormers for his rookie season in 2017 after being signed from the team's open tryout. Enyard went on to have a succesful rookie season in the IFL as he ranked third on the team in tackles (80)and also grabbed two interceptions.
Prior to joining the Barnstormers, Enyard had an impressive collegiate career at Northwest Missouri State where he played for four seasons. As a senior, Enyard collected 50 tackles, seven pass breakups, four interceptions, two touchdowns, and one sack ending his collegiate career with First Team All-MIAA and CCA All-Region Second Team Honors.
With a year of indoor experience under his belt, Enyard looks forward to returning to the field. "Last year, indoor football was different for me," said Enyard. "I got a year of experience in, so when the season starts I won't have to adapt into something new. I'll be able to just play and know what's coming."
For Enyard, returning to Des Moines was never in question. "The best thing about returning to the Iowa Barnstormers is that I get to play in front of the best fans in the IFL, play for some of the best staff, and hopefully be with some of the best players in the IFL to make another run at the title."
Like many of his teammates, Enyard is looking to continue what the Barnstormers set out to do last season. "My goal is to win the championship, improve in every aspect, and pursue my dream on making it to the NFL."
