Phoenix, Ariz. - The Arizona Rattlers announced Wednesday that they have re-signed wide receiver Anthony Amos, wide receiver Jamal Miles, defensive lineman Edward Mosley, and wide receiver Antonio Vaughan for the 2018 season. All four players were members of the 2017 Indoor Football League (IFL) championship team.
WR Amos (6-0, 185, Middle Tennessee State) will be entering his third season with the Rattlers. Last season, Amos was the team's leading receiver in receptions (48), yards (602), and receiving touchdowns (19). He joined the team in 2015 as a return specialist, compiled 1,219 yards and four touchdowns on kickoffs. He also had 432 yards and five touchdowns receiving.
Prior to landing in Arizona, Amos played for Spokane, where he tallied 110 receptions for 1,205 yards and 19 touchdowns as a rookie. In 2013, Amos spent time with the National Football League's (NFL) Dallas Cowboys.
The Fayetteville, North Carolina native played at Middle Tennessee State, where, in his senior season, he was eight yards shy of 1,000 receiving yards and earned first-team All-Sun Belt Conference honors.
WR Miles (5-10, 185, Arizona State) will be entering his second season with Arizona. Last season, Miles was the team's top kick returner with 978 yards and two touchdowns. He also led the Rattlers in all-purpose yards with 1,654 total yards (203 rushing, 375 receiving, 978 return). Miles also returned both a kickoff and a missed field goal for touchdowns in the conference championship game against the Nebraska Danger.
In 2013, Miles spent the entire training camp with the NFL's Jacksonville Jaguars, and was then picked up by the CFL Edmonton Eskimos.
In four seasons at Arizona State (2009-12), Miles recorded 128 receptions for 995 yards and 80 kickoff returns for 1,866 yards, the most in Sun Devil history. He also recorded 74 carries for 380 yards. Miles finished his collegiate career with 10 receiving touchdowns, four return touchdowns and two rushing touchdowns. He received All-Pac-10 honorable mention in 2010 and was a second-team All-Pac-12 selection as a return specialist in 2011.
The Peoria, Arizona native attended Peoria High School, where he was selected to the first team All-4A conference as a senior after rushing for 2,168 yards on 231 carries.
DL Mosley (6-3, 260, Alabama State) will be entering his second season with the team. Last season, Mosley recorded 23.5 tackles, 9.5 tackles for a loss, 2 sacks and a safety.
Mosely was a two-time Second-Team All-Southwestern Athletic Conference selection at Alabama State (FCS). As a senior, he posted 28 total tackles, 10.5 for a loss, with six sacks, and four quarterback hurries. Mosley finished his collegiate career with 15 sacks and 25 tackles for loss.
The Atlanta, Georgia native was granted membership to the NFF Hampshire Honor Society in 2015, and was a finalist in 2014 for the William V. Campbell Trophy which recognizes the best football scholar-athletes in the nation.
WR Vaughan (5-9, 180, Old Dominion) will be entering his third season with the Rattlers. In 2017, Vaughan had 11 catches for 131 yards and two touchdowns. He also had 58 yards and another touchdown on the ground.
Prior to joining the team, Vaughan attended camp for the National Football League's Jacksonville Jaguars in 2015.
The 5-9 180-pound Vaughan attended Old Dominion where in 2014 he caught 63 passes for 1,019 yards and 14 touchdowns, which earned him first-team All-Conference USA honors. Vaughan also earned second-team All-CAA honors his sophomore year.
The Ahoskie, North Carolina native attended Hertford County High School where he was named to the NCPreps.Com 3A All-State Football Team after snagging 10 career interceptions, including four returned for touchdowns.
