SIOUX FALLS, SD - The Sioux Falls Storm (14-2) hosts the Iowa Barnstormers (13-3) on Saturday, June 24th at 5:05pm in the United Conference Championship. Sioux Falls Specialty Hospital, Orthopedic Institute and KSFY-TV will present the game.
The Storm will be hosting a special fundraiser for Rebekah's Legacy Foundation named after Rebekah Spader, a young girl that fought severe medical conditions her entire young life before passing away to Leukemia at the age of 10 a year ago this August.
The Storm is looking to extend a three-game win streak after defeating the Iowa Barnstormers 45-24 on Saturday, June 17th during a week 18 Indoor Football League battle. In that game, quarterback Lorenzo Brown completed 12 of 18 passes for 137 yards and one touchdown along with three rushing touchdowns. Running back Robbie Rouse carried the ball three times for 47 yards. Wide-out Mike Tatum caught four passes for 43 yards and one touchdown. Tyler Knight led the defense in tackles with 14 while Rashard Smith had an interception and one touchdown.
For the Barnstormers, the team is looking to snap a one-game loosing streak after being defeated 45-24 by the Sioux Falls Storm during week 18. In that game, quarterback Travis Partridge threw for 122 yards, ran for 40 yards and accounted for two total touchdowns. Receivers Lucas Hefty had 21 receiving yards for one touchdown and Brady Roland had one touchdown and 57 receiving yards. Rasheed Williams had one touchdown. The Barnstormers defense had 34 total tackles, one interception and one pass break-up.
