SIOUX FALLS, SD – The Sioux Falls Storm (6-0) hosts the Green Bay Blizzard (2-5) on Saturday, April 15th at 7:05pm in a week nine battle. Waterbury Heating & Cooling/Coleman Heating & Air Conditioning will present the game.
This Saturday the Sioux Falls Storm will be hosting a special fundraiser to benefit Mary Reiser, the long-time CEO at Fonder Sewing Company. Mary has been courageously battling cancer and now recovering from a bone marrow transplant at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York.
The Storm defeated the Cedar Rapids Titans, 46-21 on Saturday, April 8th. In that game, quarterback Lorenzo Brown completed 7-of-22 pass attempts for 93 yards and one touchdown. He also added seven rush attempts for 24 yards on the ground with two scores. Robbie Rouse tallied 15 rush attempts for 74 yards. Melvin German led the Storm receiving effort as he hauled in four receptions for 64 yards and one touchdown. Defensively, Tyler Knight and Elijah Fields led the Storm with five total tackles. Elijah Fields and Matt Hermanson each recorded interceptions.
For the Blizzard, the team is looking to snap a three game losing streak after a tightly contested game against the Iowa Barnstormers. The Green Bay Blizzard lost 27-26. Jarred Evans finished the game completing 6 of 14 passes for 79 yards with one touchdown and one interception. Darryan Ragsdale had three touchdowns and Marquel Willis reeled in one touchdown reception. The Blizzard's defensive unit tallied 47 total tackles, one sack, one interception and three pass break-ups.
