The Indoor Football League (IFL) is proud to announce the Vidswap.com Players of the Week for Week 7 of the 2017 IFL season.
OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Charles McCullum (QB, Wichita Falls Nighthawks)
The Wichita Falls Nighthawks rebounded from a Week 6 loss to the Sioux Falls Storm with a harrowing 60-53 victory over the Arizona Rattlers in Week 7.The IFL's number one offense, led by QB Charles McCullum, scored the game-winning touchdown with just three seconds remaining to eke out the victory. McCullum (6'2,206, Stillman) continued to show his MVP form from last season as he completed 20 of 27 passes for 256 yards and seven touchdowns. His last second touchdown toss to WR Jordan Jolly helped seal the game for the Nighthawks. McCullum's seven touchdown passes tied the IFL single game lead for the season and McCullum continues to lead the IFL with 29 touchdown passes on the season. Wichita Falls hosts the Salt Lake Screaming Eagles in Week 8.

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Nikolas Sierra (LB, Nebraska Danger)
The Nebraska Danger moved to the top of the Intense Conference standings in Week 7 with a 42-36 victory over the Spokane Empire. The Danger defense led by LB Nikolas Sierra, held Spokane's third ranked IFL scoring offense to their second lowest point total of the season. Sierra (6'3,240, Sacred Heart) was all over the field as he recorded statistics in every major defensive category. Sierra recorded ten tackles, 3.5 sacks, one forced fumble, one fumble recovery for touchdown, and one interception. Sierra's 3.5 sacks are the most by any IFL player this season. The Danger linebacker also helped Nebraska build a strong lead early in the game as he recovered a fumble in the endzone to give the Danger an early 14-7 lead. Sierra and the Danger host the Arizona Rattlers in Week 8.

SPECIAL TEAMS PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Spencer Groner (K, Colorado Crush)
The Colorado Crush earned their first victory of the 2017 season as K Spencer Groner nailed a 36 yard field goal with no time remaining to defeat the Salt Lake Screaming Eagles 52-49. Groner (6'2,230, Snow) was a key weapon in the Crush's arsenal as he converted two of three field goals, including one from 50 yards, and converted four extra point attempts. Groner finished the game with 10 total points. He is now tied for the IFL lead with seven field goals made on the season. After a bye in Week 7, the Crush will look to build off their first win of the season when they travel to face the Spokane Empire in Week 9.
