Barnstormers Add Running Back

DES MOINES – The Iowa Barnstormers have signed running back Rasheed Williams to the 2017 roster, Head Coach Dixie Wooten announced today. Williams (6-1, 208, Alfred State College) joins the Iowa Barnstormers for his rookie Indoor Football League (IFL) season. Collegiately, Williams began his career at Louisburg College where he received BJCAA All-American Honors before transferring to Alfred State College. In his senior season, Williams rushed for 1,676 yards and 16 touchdowns in nine games with the Pioneers. He finished his collegiate career earning All-USCAA First Team honors and All-ECAC North First Team honors. Williams was signed to the Detroit Lions as an undrafted rookie in May of 2015.

"Signing Rasheed is great for the Barnstormers," said Coach Wooten. "He brings NFL caliber talent with big time speed. Having a running game is important, so we want to have great competition at camp with the running backs."
