The Wichita Falls Nighthawks have announced the re-signing of all-purpose man and fan favorite, Tyler Williams, for the 2017 season.
Williams led the Indoor Football League in all-purpose yardage during the 2016 season, gaining 427 rush yards, 335 receiving yards, and 1,237 return yards, for a total of 1,999 all-purpose yards. He also finished fourth in the league in total scoring, accounting for 174 of the Nighthawks total points last year. His 22 rushing touchdowns were second-best in the IFL.
Williams was named the Second Team All-IFL Running Back after leading the Nighthawk's IFL-leading offense in rushing.
He scored three or more touchdowns in 5 out of the 13 games he played last year, tallying an IFL season-high 7 touchdowns in a game against the Nebraska Danger on May 21. He also had the second most rushing yards in a single game in the IFL last season, amassing 125 yards against the Colorado Crush on May 14.
