The Indoor Football League (IFL) is proud to announce the Vidswap.com Players of the Week for Week 19 of the 2016 IFL season.
OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Charles McCullum (QB, Wichita Falls Nighthawks)
DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Armand Nance (DL, Nebraska Danger)
The Nebraska Danger ended their 2016 regular season on a high note as the team defeated the Tri-Cities Fever 52-32. DL Armand Nance made a quick impact on the defensive front and would continue to terrorize the Fever all night long. On the Fever's first possession of the night Nance forced a fumble from QB Will Tudmon and returned it 26 yards to help give the Danger a quick 13-0 lead. Nance continued to stymie the Fever offense throughout the night gaining two sacks, three tackles for loss and a pass breakup. Nance's five total tackles led the Danger. Despite struggling late in the season, the Nebraska Danger have advanced to the playoffs and will travel to face the Billings Wolves in the first round on July 9.
SPECIAL TEAMS PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Nicholas Belcher (K, Cedar Rapids Titans)
The Cedar Rapids Titans completed a season sweep of in-state rival Iowa by knocking off the Barnstormers 48-41 in final week of the regular season. Titans Kicker Nicholas Belcher earns his fourth IFL Special Teams Player of the Week award of the season after delivering another strong performance for Cedar Rapids. Belcher converted four of five field goals from distances of 23,24, 30 and 36 yards. His four field goals tie for the most converted field goals in a single game this season. He also made four of five extra point attempts. In total, Belcher scored 16 of the Titans 48 points. Belcher and the Titans host the Wichita Falls Nighthawks in the opening round of the 2016 IFL playoffs on July 9.
