Kennewick, WA - The Tri-Cities Fever held an early lead Saturday night against Green Bay, but the Blizzard scored 39 consecutive points to run away with a 63-39 Indoor Football League win at the Toyota Center in Kennewick.
Dejuan Miller scored on a 10-yard pass from Hunter Wanket to give Tri-Cities (3-10) a 14-7 lead with 38 seconds remaining in the first quarter. But Chevelle Buie's 32-yard touchdown reception tied the score with 1 second left.
From there, the Blizzard (4-9) started to bury the Fever, outscoring Tri-Cities 19-0 in the second quarter and taking a 33-14 lead into halftime. In the end, the Blizzard had outgained the Fever 367-164 in total offense.
Green Bay's Matt Behrendt passed for 282 yards and five touchdowns, and rushed for three TDs. Wanket went 16-of-31 passing for 148 yards and four touchdowns, but he threw three interceptions. Akeem Foster led Tri-Cities with six catches for 57 yards and a TD.
Markeith Summers was the leading reciever for the Blizzard with seven receptions, 140 yards and two touchdowns. Receivers DeAndre Brown, Chevelle Buje and Joe Sawyer each recorded a touchdown and caught a pass for more than 30 yards.
Next up for the Blizzard is a road contest against the Wichita Falls Nighthawks (8-4) while the Fever have a bye week.
