Cedar Rapids, IA — The Tri-Cities Fever (3-7) may have returned the opening kickoff courtesy of former Titan Rob Brown, but the Cedar Rapids Titans (7-4) defense kept the Fever offense in check for the remainder of the game.
In addition to the opening kickoff touchdown, Fever kicker Bobby Zalud hit a 39-yard field goal in the final seconds of the first quarter. The Titans defense held the Fever scoreless through the second and third quarters before scoring their final points with 12 minutes remaining in the fourth quarter as quarterback Hunter Wanket found Brown on a quick one-yard pass. Wanket then found wide receiver Akeem Foster to convert the two-point conversion.
