The Tri Cities Fever would like to announce the addition of Wide Receiver/Strength and
Conditioning Coach, Steven Whitehead.
Whitehead, who has been one of the most recognizable players for the Fever since he came
to Tri-Cities in 2011, will now be using his experience and skill to help coach. Whitehead
was named the 2015 IFL Offensive Player of the Year and was an All IFL first team receiver.
During the 2015 season, Whitehead was in the top of nearly every receiving statistic. He was
#1 in receptions and yards with 81 for 1,032 yards. He led the league in receptions per game
as well as receiving yards per game with a 6.23 average for 79.4 yards. He was #2 in
receiving touchdowns with 17 and #2 in scoring with 23 touchdowns (17 passing and 6
rushing) along with 6 extra points. Whitehead was also listed as having 4 games where he
had over 100 yards receiving per game, ranking him #1 in that category.
Whitehead has become a businessman in the Tri-Cities community. After moving to Tri-
Cities in 2011 he started a training sports training facility where he develops athletes, young
and old alike. He has expanded into Yoga, Personal Training and Group Training sessions
for all. Elite Ambitions Training (EAT) has grown to the point where he now has started a
scholarship program called The Extra Yard. The Extra Yard allows 8th – 12th grade structured
academics and correspondence with what colleges and the NCAA will be looking for in
"I'm glad he is on my side and we don't have to defend against him," said Offensive
Coordinator, Brian Schmidt.
