DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Myke Tavarres (LB, Nebraska Danger)
In a matchup of two of the top teams in the IFL, the Nebraska Danger overcame the Iowa Barnstormers 43-32 in Week 6. IFL leading tackler Nebraska LB Myke Tavarres was a defensive force throughout the game for the Danger. Early in the second quarter, Tavarres (6'2, Univ. of Incarnate Word) broke through the Barnstormers' offense and sacked QB Drew Powell forcing a fumble in the process. Tavarres came up with the fumble and Nebraska put points on the board three plays later by adding a field goal. The play proved to be a turning point as the danger never trailed for the rest of the game. Tavarres finished the game with seven total tackles. This is Tavarres' second Defensive Player of the Week award this season (Week 1).The Nebraska Danger host the Sioux Falls Storm in Week 7.
